Pass the sugar! ‘Coffee with a Cop’ slated at four Riverhead Town java joints

Riverhead police are trading the patrol car for the coffee bar — at least for a couple of hours.

The Riverhead Town Police Department will participate in “Coffee with a Cop Day 2026” Wednesday, Oct. 7.

Since its inception in 2011, Coffee with a Cop events have worked to build trust and help foster a sense of community wherever they’re held.

Coffee with a Cop will be held at four separate locations from 9 to 11 a.m. Here is where the officers will be:

• Wildcat Bagel Deli, 6243 NY-25A, Wading River
• Lolly’s Hut, 1290 Old Country Rd., Riverhead
• El Deli Chapin De Riverhead, 303 Osborn Ave., Riverhead
• Black Sheep Bagels, 1451 Main Rd., Jamesport
