New food pantry opens in Riverhead

A new Riverhead food pantry celebrated its grand opening Friday.

The food pantry is operated by Clubhouse of Suffolk’s Synergy Center, a not-for-profit mental health organization serving adults in the community with mental illness

The pantry is open to all members of the community with a concentration on veteran outreach.

Helping Hands of the East End is located at Clubhouse of Suffolk’s Synergy Center at 1380 Roanoke Avenue. It is open every Friday from 2:00pm-6:00pm. The pantry accepts food donations of non-perishable items Monday through Friday 9am to 4pm. Frozen food products are accepted by calling (631) 471-7242 ext 1327.
