Cops: About $1,400 stolen from Main Street minimart

Riverhead Town police are investigating a burglary at Stop and Go Mini Mart on Main Street Friday morning. 

When employees arrived about 4:10 a.m., they noticed the glass on the front door had been pushed it and it appeared someone had entered the building, police said. An investigation determined that someone had entered the store through the front door and removed about $1,400 from multiple cash registers, officials said.
