The Nature Lyceum is a not-for-profit foundation for the environment. Jeff Frank founded The Nature Lyceum School for Organic Horticulture in 1993 and has dedicated his life and school to teaching organic horticulture across America and to spreading the word on the environment and sustainability. Supported only by donations, Mr. Frank has given seminars and the two-day “Green Guerrilla” classes around the country. He shares 40-plus years of organic, biodynamic and “green” business wisdom. The programs at TNL provide instruction for food production with an emphasis on methods that use non-toxic fertilizers and biodynamic preparations. The course work strengthens methods that require less water use and the energy required to store and transport food.

On Oct. 20 and 21, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Spiritual Renewal Center at First Parish Church will sponsor a two-day “Green Guerilla” class. For more information, visit thenaturelyceum.org. To register for the conference, visit spirit-renewal.com or contact [email protected].

Thanks to Sacred Heart Parish and Nancy Deegan for the fabulous Blessing of the Animals last Sunday at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church! There was a time of prayer, reflection and music and then each animal was blessed by Deacon Jeff. Horses and donkeys were the largest of the animals and the smallest were some gerbils and a tiny iguana. We brought our three CCI canines to the event.

Keep me posted on your events and have a wonderful week!
