State police: Multiple DWIs in Flanders, Riverside

New York State police made five arrests in the area during the past week, according to a police report.• Fredy A. Miguel-Miguel, 22, of Flanders, was arrested for criminal possession of a forged instrument following a traffic stop on Route 24 in Flanders on Wednesday, according to a report. Mr. Miguel-Miguel was processed and held for arraignment at Southampton Town Court, according to police.

• A 39-year-old Flanders man was arrested for driving drunk on Thursday, according to police. Elder G. Rivera Alvarez found to be intoxicated following a traffic stop on Route 24 in Flanders and was arrested, police said. Mr. Alvarez was released on traffic tickets and scheduled to appear at Southampton Town Court on March 5, the report stated.

• A Centereach man was arrested on drunk driving charges Saturday following a traffic stop on Route 94 in Riverside, New York State police said.

Thomas J. Turney, 32, was arrested and later released on traffic tickets returnable to Southampton Town Court on March 12, police stated.

• On Saturday, officers arrested Daniel Davis, 25, of Shirley, for unlawful possession of marijuana, according to a state police report. Mr. Davis was taken into custody after being stopped for speeding on Route 104 in Flanders, police said. Mr. Davis was released on appearance and is scheduled to appear in Southampton Town Court on March 10, the report said.

• A 24-year-old Riverhead man was arrested for driving drunk on Sunday, state police said. Darwin E. Pascual-Aldana was stopped on Riverleigh Ave., in Riverside when he was found to be intoxicated, police said. He was released on traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear at Southampton Town Court on March 3, police said.
