Photos: Actors, sports legends support charity in Riverhead

The stars were out in force at the Contractors for Kids fundraiser held at the Long Island Aquarium & Exhibition Center in Riverhead Friday night.

Hundreds of supporters bumped elbows with Hollywood actors and some of the most famous sports legends in history to benefit Contractors for Kids, a Long Island charity that financially assists parents of seriously and terminally ill children.

Among the sports superstars on hand were New York Yankees pitcher Tommy John and right fielder Jesse Barfield, Boston Red Sox pitcher Bret Saberhagen, New York Jets tackle Marty Lyons and Kansas City Chiefs fullback Anthony Sherman.

General Hospital stars Vanessa Marcil and Tyler Christopher were among the actors attending the event.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from the event will benefit Contractors for Kids.
