Road closures for paving work at Osborn Avenue, Northside Road

Sections of Osborn Avenue and Northside Road will be closed as Riverhead Town Highway crews repave the roads, Highway Superintendent George “Gio” Woodson said Wednesday.

Osborn Avenue was paved Wednesday between Railroad Avenue and Pulaski Street, he said. As of Wednesday afternoon, crews are working on a section of the road between Hamilton and Woodcrest Avenues, he added.

“We’re letting through school buses and emergency vehicles,” he said. “Everyone else is getting detoured.”

On Thursday, crews will begin working on Osborn Avenue north of Route 58, as well as a section of Northside Road in Wading River, he added.
