The Nov. 5 ballot will feature uncontested races for the positions of town justice, town clerk and tax receiver.
However, there is competition for four-year term on the Board of Assessors, whose members determine the value of property for taxing purposes.

Riverhead Town Justices Allen Smith and Lori Hulse are urging the Town Board to resurrect a plan to convert the Route 58 armory building into a police and justice court headquarters, a plan board members had all but abandoned in light of the project’s cost.
Former Riverhead school board member Lori Hulse called out the current board at its meeting last Tuesday for violating policy with the recent hiring of Lauren Lewonka as director of fine arts in the district.
Ms. Hulse, who served on the board before resigning in January 2016 to become a Riverhead Town justice, spoke before the board last week, urging members to table a vote on Ms. Lewonka’s hire so they could discuss it further and make a decision in line with their own policy.
The first night court session in Riverhead Town Justice Court’s history will take place Monday at 6 p.m., according to Town Justice Lori Hulse.
Lori Hulse is sometimes a smidge ahead of her twin brother, Bill.
It appears the Riverhead Board of Education is sticking with six members for now.
