Riverhead Little League officials announced Saturday the scheduling of a new tournament to be held in town in memory of two fallen American soldiers, U.S. Army Sergeant Jonathan Keller and Sergeant First Class Anthony Venetz Jr.

Little Leaguers ages 9 through 12 will participate, with a 3-game minimum.

Costs are $450 per team, with baseballs and umpires included. Trophies will be awarded to the players of each division’s winning team.

The event will be held at Stotzky Park in Riverhead and Veteran’s Park in Calverton, where fields are named after Sgt.Keller and Sgt. First Class Venetz.

Both soldiers were Shoreham-Wading River High School graduates.

All proceeds are going to a scholarship fund in their name.

Organizers say $150 deposits will be accepted but only full payment will secure a spot.
