Cops seeking info on Tuesday night burglary at Snowflake

Someone committed a burglary at Snowflake Ice Cream shortly after it closed on Tuesday night, Riverhead Town police said.

According to a police press release, a passing motorist reported at 10:34 p.m. that the glass on the West Main Street shop’s front door was broken. Once authorities arrived, they determined the business had been burglarized, but were unable to locate a suspect.

Authorities have not yet provided details about what was stolen from the shop and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident should call the Riverhead Police Department at 631-727-4500.
