Riverhead blotter: American flags reported stolen in Riverhead

Someone stole an American flag from Riverhead Town property on Church and Ida lanes in Aquebogue last Thursday night. The estimated value of the flag is $50, according to police.

Another American flag was reported stolen from the front of a private residence on Crystal Drive in Aquebogue later that night, police said.

• An unknown man removed four handbags from the Michael Kors store at Tanger Outlets last Thursday night. The combined value of the stolen bags was $876, according to police.

• A Baiting Hollow woman told police that someone illegally used her bank account number and PIN number to remove $506 from her account last Wednesday, according to police.

• Various items were reported stolen from a hotel room at the Hyatt Place on East Main Street Friday. The estimated value of the stolen items is about $250, police said.

• Malik Rose, 18, address unavailable, was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and petit larceny Saturday night at OK Petro on East Main Street, according to police. Additional information was not available.

• Four chairs were broken and a scooter was reported stolen from a home on North Wading River Road in Wading River Sunday night.
