Riverhead blotter: Man jumped on Osborn Avenue

Officers responded Friday to a fight on Osborn Avenue, near Pulaski Street, where a man reported being attacked by two men, according to Riverhead Police.

The victim said he was jumped by two young black men he didn’t know, who broke his eyeglasses, according to police. Witnesses confirmed the victim’s account, police said.

One of the suspects was wearing a black hoodie with black pants; the other was wearing a black shirt, black shorts, had a “skinny afro” and was about 5 feet, 5 inches tall, police said.

• A Wyandanch woman was charged with petit larceny following her arrest at the Route 58 Target last Tuesday night.

Store security told police that Amana Carter, 19, stole three items from the store and was taken into custody in a civilian arrest, with help from an officer, according to police.

• A 19-year-old Lindenhurst woman was charged with driving while intoxicated after an accident last Wednesday about 3 a.m., according to police.

Taylor Gdoviak drove her car through numerous stop signs and then went off the Long Island Expressway entrance ramp and struck a tree, police said.

Both Ms. Gdoviak and her passenger declined medical attention, according to police.

• David Breschard, age and address unavailable, was charged with two counts of petit larceny at the Route 58 Target store last Thursday night. Additional information was not available.

• A television, a microwave and a refrigerator were reported stolen from a room at the Greenview Motel on West Main Street Sunday afternoon. The estimated value of the stolen items is about $380, according to police.

Those who are named in police reports have not been convicted of any crime or violation. The charges against them may later be reduced or withdrawn, or they may be found innocent.
