The Shoreham-Wading River wrestling team stands one win away from a league dual meet title after a decisive victory over perennial powerhouse John Glenn Friday night.

On senior night, the Wildcats won nine of 15 bouts in a 37-21 victory at Shoreham-Wading River High School. The Wildcats remain undefeated in League VI with a match remaining against Westhampton. Glenn fell for the second time this season.

Shoreham senior John Keck won a 1-0 decision at 152 over James Dekrone, a second-place finisher in the state last year. Dekrone, who’s ranked No. 1 in the county at 138, was wrestling up two weight classes.

The Wildcats’ top wrestlers all recorded victories. James Szymanski won at 99, T.J. Fabian at 120 and Zak Mullen at 160.
