Three men and a woman arrested after a drive-by shooting on Third Street in Riverhead Feb. 13 will be arraigned on a grand jury indictment Wednesday in Suffolk County criminal court, prosecutors said.

The four, Jeffrey Despeines, 21, of Centereach, Jordan Harrell, 18, of Medford, Eric Baldwin Jr., 18, of Bellport, and Jasmine Parsons, 19, of Mastic (formerly of Rivrhead) made initial court appearances in Riverhead Justice Court and have since been held at the county jail in Riverside awaiting grand jury deliberations.

The indictment will be unsealed and the charges outlined in Judge William Condon’s courtroom Wednesday.

Riverhead Town police responded to the scene upon hearing the shots just before 9 p.m. that Wednesday night and stopped a car soon after, arresting the group on nearby Peconic Avenue after spotting spent shell casings on the car’s floorboard, police and prosecutors said.

Mr. Despeines is accused of being the shooter in the drive-by, allegedly firing seven rounds into a two-family house with several adults and two young children inside.  No one was injured in the incident.
