Four facing drug charges after Flanders traffic stop

A 26-year-old driver from Aquebogue was arrested on drug charges, along with three other people, during a traffic stop in Flanders on Friday, state police said.

Jessica Chmielewski of Peconic Bay Boulevard was initially stopped by police on Flanders Road for traffic infractions when she was arrested on charges of driving while ability impaired by drugs, criminal possession of a controlled substance charge and obstruction of governmental administration, according to a state police press release issued this week.

Three passengers in the car, identified by police as Amanda Cross, 23, of Aquebogue, Willie Bryant, 32, of Riverhead and Christyas Williams, 28, or Riverhead, were each charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

All four suspects were held overnight in the county jail and were to appear in Southampton Town Justice Court.

No other details were available from state police.

Police did not specify a time for the arrests.
