No one said playing in the NFL was easy.

Miguel Maysonet’s latest bid to make an NFL roster ended Tuesday when he was released from the New York Jets’ practice squad, according to multiple media reports. The Jets were the fifth team he played with since signing with the Philadelphia Eagles shortly after the NFL Draft ended in April.

Maysonet, the former Riverhead and Stony Brook University star running back, signed with the Jets’ practice squad Oct. 15.

Maysonet has also made stops in Cleveland, Indianapolis and San Diego. He spent nearly the entire preseason with the Browns and saw action in each preseason game.
