Calling all Riverhead basketball players: alumni game Dec. 13
The Riverhead Boys Basketball Booster Club is hosting an alumni game Dec. 13 in the high school gym that will benefit a local charity and scholarship fund.
Former players are encouraged to sign up for the game, which begins at 3 p.m. (See the form below)
The booster club plans to donate 25 percent of the profits to New Beginnings Brendan House, a long-term independent group home for residents with traumatic brain injuries in Riverhead. Another 25 percent will toward the Dimitri Hampton Scholarship Fund. The booster club hopes to purchase a shooting machine with the remaining 50 percent.
A Chinese Auction and half-court shot contest will also give fans a chance to win prizes.
The booster club is seeking donations to help pay for the prizes. (See the form below) The doors will open at 1 p.m. for the auction and raffles. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door.
The booster club consists of parents of Riverhead players, alumni and community volunteers.
