Cecelia Smith Hunter

Former Riverhead resident Cecelia Smith Hunter of Jacksonville, N.C., died April 4. She was 90.Ms. Hunter is survived by her daughters, Pam Elsasser of Alabama, Mindy Peterson of Jacksonville, Darlene Powell of Clinton, N.C., and Teresa Whaley of Maysville, N.C.; her sons, Robert, of Florida, and Ronald, of South Carolina; her brothers, Francis Charles Smith and John William Smith, both of Riverhead; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitors were received April 9 at Serenity Funeral Home in Beulaville, N.C., where a memorial service also took place.
