Anton Condzella

Anton Condzella of Wading River died May 9. He was 88.

Mr. Condzella was born April 9, 1931, in Riverhead to Mary (Zambriski) and William Condzella.

He attended Port Jefferson High School and married Helen (née Kruk) May 22, 1960, at St. Isidore R.C. Church in Riverhead.

Mr. Condzella retired from a career as a laborer with the Town of Riverhead highway department.

His family said he was a member of Knights of Columbus, enjoyed gardening and had a small farm stand where he sold tomatoes.

Mr. Condzella is survived by his wife and his sister, Margaret Dudek of Mattituck.

Visitors will be received Tuesday, May 14, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, at St. John the Baptist Church in Wading River, followed by interment at St. Isidore Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Peconic Bay Medical Center’s palliative care program or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
