Cops: Man caught using boss’ credit card

A Center Moriches man was arrested for allegedly using his boss’ credit card illegally to make purchases at several locations since early November, according to Southampton Town Police.

Jason Bergami, 37, of Brookfield Road made purchases using his employer’s credit card and then pawned items he purchased with the card at various locations, police said.

He was arrested Friday afternoon at police headquarters in Hampton Bays, following an investigation, and charged with seven counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, including two from Riverhead Building Supply in Hampton Bays, three from Used But Not Abused Tools on Flanders Road in Flanders, and one from a location on County Road 39A in Southampton.

He also was charged with eight counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, including two from Riverhead Building Supply in Hampton Bays, two from Riverhead Building Supply in Southampton, and four at a Roanoke Avenue, Riverhead address.
