Parolee calls police for fight, gets busted for parole violation

A Central Islip man called 911 to report an argument in Flanders early Friday, but ended up being arrested and held at police headquarters after responding officers found the caller had an active parole violation warrant, Southampton Town police said.

Terrence Tuffini, 28, got into an argument with another man at a Flanders Road residence about 6 a.m., police said. Mr. Tuffini called 911 and left the house; police later located him down the block and questioned him about the dispute.

While speaking with him, police found he had an active arrest warrant for failing to report for parole, according to a police report.

He was charged with a parole violation and held for parole officers.
