Cops

Southampton Town Police received four reports of cars being broken into on Riverleigh Drive in Riverside early last Monday.

All four complaints reported that someone had shattered a window of a car parked on the street sometime between midnight and 7 a.m. Monday, although only one of the reports indicated anything was taken, according to police.

In that case, all that was taken was $5, police said. Two other reports were received of items being taken from unlocked cars in Riverside being Tuesday morning.

In those cases, items that were reported stolen included a $100 pair of Nike sneakers and $2 dollars in change from one car, and a light and $2 dollars in loose change from the other car, according to police.
