Edward Hattorff

Former Riverhead resident Edward Hattorff of Shoreham died Dec. 18 at the age of 77.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was a New York State Supreme Court officer for 20 years, until his retirement.

Family members said he enjoyed gardening and flying simulated missions from his laptop computer and was an avid fan of baseball and classic movies.

Mr. Hattorff is survived by his wife, Carole; his children, Philip, Thomas, Barbara, Maureen, Matthew, Lori, Kim and Joseph; 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were handled by Alexander-Tuthill Funeral Home in Wading River. Interment was at Calverton National Cemetery.
