Karen J. Faber of Riverhead died March 30 at Stony Brook University Hospital. She was 56 years old.
She was born July 3, 1956, in Riverhead to Virginia (Ford) and Samuel Faber and graduated from Riverhead High School in 1974. She worked for the Town of Riverhead Police Department.
Ms. Faber belonged to the NAACP and the Riverhead Woman’s Club and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Riverhead. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed clipping coupons and going to yard sales.
Predeceased by her father in 1995, she is survived by her children, Arthor Faber (Nicole) and Charles Ross (Kayna); her mother, Virginia Faber; her sister, Michelle Moore; and eight grandchildren.
Cremation was private. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 6, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Riverhead. Arrangements were handled by McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead.
