Joseph S. Miller

Lifelong Riverhead resident Joseph S. Miller died July 15 at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead. He was 66 years old.

He was born March 13, 1947, to John and Cecilia Miller of Riverhead. He was employed as a Coca-Cola plant operator and was a former member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Loyal Order of Moose. Family members say he enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Mr. Miller is survived by his daughter, Michelle Kehoe, of Huntington; a niece, Sharon Langhorne, of Riverhead; a nephew, John Hogan, of Calverton; and two grandchildren, Shannon and Declan. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Carol Hogan.

The family will receive visitors Thursday, July 18, from 9 to 11 a.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service will be held at 11:15 a.m. at St. Isidore R.C. Church and interment will follow at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Cemetery, both in Riverhead.
