Anne D. Leverich of Southold died at her home Jan. 9, 2014. She was 81.
Born in New York City March 9, 1932, to James and Helen Dartt, she attended Abbot Academy and Wellesley College.
On Sept. 12, 1953, she married William R. Leverich in Cold Spring Harbor. They lived for the past 20 years in Southold, where they owned and operated Brick Cove Marina.
Anne was active as a member and church treasurer of First Presbyterian Church of Southold and in Sewing Plus.
Left to mourn her passing are her husband, William R. Leverich; three children and their spouses, Don Leverich (Laurie) of Port Jefferson, Diane Vail (Bill) of Riverhead and Sandra DeLong (Todd) of Cutchogue; and seven grandchildren, Kelsey Leverich, Janine Leverich, Amanda DeLong, Nicholas DeLong, Scott DeLong, Mieko Vail and Forrest Vail.
Services will be held Saturday, Jan. 18, at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Southold, the Rev. Dr. Peter J. Kelley officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org), East End Hospice (eeh.org) or First Presbyterian Church of Southold (fpcsouthold.org) would be appreciated.
