Catherine H. Atria

Catherine H. Atria of Riverhead died Sept. 25 at the age of 95.

She was born March 21, 1916, in Brooklyn, to Francesco and Camille (Messina) Gnolfo and was a homemaker for most of her adult life.

Predeceased by her husband, Frank, Ms. Atria is survived by her sons, Bill and Frank, and her daughter, Vita Giarraputo; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours are set for Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home in Riverhead. A service will be held Thursday, Sept. 29, at 9 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Riverhead, the Rev. Lawrence Duncklee officiating. Interment will be at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale.
