Clara T. Welch

Clara T. Welch died Dec. 30, 2011, at her home in Riverhead. She was 82.

Born Sept. 4, 1929, in Manhattan to Clito and Vincenza Omaggio, she was a homemaker for most of her adult life.

Ms. Welch’s family said she was devoted to and loved spending time with them.

Predeceased by her husband, James F. Welch, in 2002, she is survived by her children, Frances Fineron, James, Michael, Lorraine, Theresa and Thomas; her brother, Corrado Omaggio; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours are set for Tuesday, Jan. 3, at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Jan. 4, at St. Isidore R.C. Church in Riverhead. Interment will be at Calverton National Cemetery.
