Police: Woman struck boyfriend with bat
A Riverside woman was arrested after she allegedly hit her boyfriend with a bat and threatened to shoot him last Thursday, Southampton Town police said.
A man reported to police that his girlfriend, Margaret McNamee, 33, of Flanders Road, struck him in the face with a small wooden baseball bat, broke a picture frame on his wall, and then threatened him with a gun about 7:30 a.m. last Thursday in Flanders, police said.
She was arrested about 9 a.m. the same day at her home in Riverside and was charged with second-degree menacing, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and second-degree harassment.
No other details were available.
