Hester Wyche

Hester Wyche of Riverhead died at her home Feb. 27. She was 81. 

The daughter of William and Margaret Jackson, she was born July 30, 1934, in Greenport and attended Riverhead High School.

Ms. Wyche was a beautician who owned a shop in Riverhead. Family members said she enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Braunskill, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive visitors Wednesday, March 2, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Interment will take place at Riverhead Cemetery.
